Aurora Borealis Photography Workshops
Aurora Workshops with Sean Kurdziolek
There are few things more beautiful and spectacular than the Aurora, and there are few things more exciting than capturing it on camera. Throw in your tripod and a sense of adventure and you’re bound to have a great experience. Sean Kurdziolek has a passion for night sky and landscape photography that will be invaluable as he teaches you the tips and techniques needed to capture the images you’ll treasure for a lifetime. In addition, we will go to a nearby spot for on-location tutoring.

Information: The workshop will begin indoors. We will cover information about the Aurora, your equipment, and your camera’s settings. We will then travel out to one of my favorite Aurora viewing spots to practice what we’ve learned. Altogether, the workshop is about 5 hours (3 hours of classroom instruction/2 hours out shooting).
What you’ll need…
• A DSLR is highly recommended. If you are unsure if your camera has the right specifications, please contact us with your camera details and we can advise you better.
• A wide angle lens
• A tripod
• Fully charged camera battery(and extras)
• A headlamp or flashlight
• Warm clothing. Layer clothing for optimal warmth. Click here for tips.
Disclaimer: Aurora Workshops are dependent on the weather, road conditions, and unforeseen circumstances. I can’t guarantee the Aurora will make an appearance, however, we will still head out and use our newly learned skills which will aid you whenever you choose to hunt the lights. Sean Kurdziolek Portraits and Gallery has the right to cancel and/or postpone for any reason.
